Citizenship Policy of the Nation of Cherut

Preamble:

The Nation of Cherut is committed to forming a peaceful, prosperous, and harmonious society rooted in spirituality, self-determination, self-care, sustainability, and solidarity. This Citizenship Policy establishes the principles, rights, and responsibilities of citizenship, ensuring the protection and prosperity of all members of our independent nation.

Article I: Citizenship Eligibility

Birthright Citizenship

A person is considered a citizen of Cherut if:

  • – Born within the territories of the Nation of Cherut.
  • – Born to at least one parent who is a citizen of Cherut, regardless of birthplace.

Citizenship by Naturalization

A non-citizen may apply for naturalization if they meet the following criteria:

  • –  Demonstrated commitment to the nation’s values and principles.
  • – Passed a cultural, historical, and constitutional understanding assessment.
  • – Pledged the Oath of Citizenship as outlined in Article VII.

Citizenship by Contribution

Honorary citizenship may be granted to individuals who make significant contributions to the nation’s advancement, subject to approval by a 3/5 majority vote of the Parliament and final approval by the Monarch.

 

Article II: Rights of Citizens

All citizens of Cherut are entitled to:

  • – Full protection under the Constitution and Bill of Rights.
  • – Equal participation in the democratic process, including voting in elections and referendums.
  • – Freedom of speech, cultural expression, and spiritual practice.
  • – Access to education, healthcare, and opportunities for self-development.
  • – The right to hold public office and serve the nation.
  • – Protection from discrimination and unjust treatment.

Article III: Responsibilities of Citizens

All citizens of Cherut are required to:

  • – Uphold the Constitution and its principles.
  • – Contribute to the nation’s welfare through community service, civic engagement, and national defense when called upon.
  • – Promote peace, justice, and unity within the nation.
  • – Honor the values of spirituality, self-determination, self-care, sustainability, and solidarity.

Article IV: Dual Citizenship

  • – The Nation of Cherut permits dual citizenship for its citizens, provided the other nation does not conflict with The Nation of Cherut’s core values or independence.
  • – Citizens holding dual citizenship must declare their primary national allegiance when running for public office or holding a position of national security importance.

Article V: Loss and Renunciation of Citizenship

Voluntary Renunciation

 – A citizen may voluntarily renounce their citizenship by submitting a formal declaration to the Ministry of Citizenship and receiving confirmation of the renunciation.

Revocation of Citizenship

Citizenship may be revoked if:

  • – Obtained through fraudulent means.
  • – Acts of treason, terrorism, or deliberate harm to national security.
  • – A 3/5 majority vote of the Parliament followed by Royal Assent and public notification.

Article VI: Path to Restored Citizenship

A former citizen whose citizenship was revoked or renounced may apply for reinstatement if:

  • – They have demonstrated a genuine commitment to the values of The Nation of Cherut.
  • – They have undergone a reconciliation and restoration process overseen by the Cultural and Ethical Council.

Article VII: Oath of Citizenship

“I pledge my unwavering loyalty and service to the Nation of Cherut. I vow to uphold the principles of spirituality, self-determination, self-care, sustainability, and solidarity. I commit to the protection, prosperity, and unity of our people and will honor the Constitution and laws of Cherut in all actions, seeking peace, justice, and harmony for the nation and all its citizens.”

Article VIII: Administration and Oversight

  • – The Ministry of Citizenship shall oversee the administration of this policy, manage naturalization processes, and maintain national records.
  • – Any amendments to this policy require a 3/5 majority vote in Parliament and Royal Assent.
