Bill of Rights of the Nation of Cherut

Preamble:

We, the Global Citizens of the Nation of Cherut, guided by our shared values of spirituality, self-determination, self-care, sustainability, and solidarity, hereby establish this Bill of Rights to guarantee the inherent freedoms, dignity, and well-being of all citizens. These rights are fundamental, inalienable, and protected under the supreme law of the Constitution.

Article I: Right to Freedom and Self-Determination
  1. 1.  Every citizen has the right to freedom of thought, expression, and peaceful assembly.
  2. 2. All citizens have the right to self-determination, including the freedom to pursue personal growth, cultural expression, and        spiritual practices without interference.
  3. 3. No person shall be subject to forced labor, enslavement, or exploitation in any form.
Article II: Right to Justice and Due Process
  1. 1.  All citizens are entitled to equal protection under the law.

    2.  No citizen shall be deprived of life, liberty, or property without due process of law.

    3.  Every citizen has the right to a fair, impartial, and timely trial.

    4. Citizens shall not be subjected to unlawful detention, cruel, inhumane, or degrading treatment.

Article III: Right to Cultural and Spiritual Expression
  1. 1.  Citizens have the right to practice and express their spirituality and cultural beliefs
  2. 2.  without discrimination or persecution.
  3. 3.  Indigenous and ancestral knowledge, languages, and traditions are to be respected, preserved, and protected by the state.
  4. 4.  No law shall be enacted that restricts cultural diversity, provided such practices do not violate human rights or public safety.
Article IV: Right to Peace and Security
  1. 1.  Every citizen has the right to live in a nation free from violence, war, and oppression.
  2. 2. The state shall ensure protection from domestic and external threats to peace and security.
  3. 3. Citizens have the right to personal safety and protection from harm, harassment, and exploitation.
Article V: Right to Health and Well-Being
  1. 1.  All citizens have the right to access quality healthcare, including mental health services and holistic wellness support.
  2. 2. The state shall ensure the availability of clean water, nutritious food, and a healthy environment for all.
  3. 3.  No citizen shall be denied medical care based on financial status, gender, race, or origin.
Article VI: Right to Education and Knowledge
  1. 1. Every citizen has the right to free and equitable access to education at all levels.
  2. 2. Education shall promote cultural identity, self-awareness, critical thinking, and preparation for civic duties.
  3. 3. The state shall prioritize the teaching of the Constitution, the history of Cherut, and values of freedom, sustainability, and solidarity.
Article VII: Right to Economic Empowerment and Sustainability
  1. 1. All citizens have the right to fair employment opportunities and equal pay for equal work.
  2. 2. The state shall promote sustainable development, economic empowerment, and resource equity for all citizens.
  3. 3. No person shall be denied the right to own property, build wealth, or access financial resources lawfully.
Article VIII: Right to Governance Participation and Representation
  1. 1. All citizens have the right to participate in free, fair, and transparent elections.
  2. 2. Citizens have the right to hold public office and engage in governance without discrimination.
  3. 3. The collective voice of the people shall guide national decisions through referendums and public consultations.
Article IX: Right to Privacy and Personal Autonomy
  1. 1. Every citizen has the right to privacy in their personal life, home, and communications.
  2. 2. No citizen shall be subjected to unlawful surveillance, searches, or data collection without due cause and legal authorization.
  3. 3. Personal autonomy and the right to make informed choices concerning health, family life, and spiritual practices shall be respected.
Article X: Right to Environmental Protection
  1. 1. Every citizen has the right to a clean, safe, and sustainable environment.
  2. 2. The state shall protect natural resources for the benefit of current and future generations.
  3. 3. Citizens have the right to participate in environmental stewardship and decision-making.
Article XI: Rights of Indigenous and Marginalized Communities
  1. 1. Indigenous and historically marginalized communities have the right to self-governance, cultural preservation, and resource access.
  2. 2. The state shall protect against cultural erasure, land displacement, and discrimination.
  3. 3. Reparative measures shall be established to address historical injustices and promote equity.
 
Article XII: Duties and Responsibilities of Citizens

With these rights come the following duties:

  1. 1. To uphold and respect the Constitution of Cherut.
  2. 2. To protect and preserve the natural environment and cultural heritage.
  3. 3. To participate actively in the democratic process.
  4. 4. To promote unity, peace, and the well-being of the entire nation.
  5. 5. To respect the rights and freedoms of fellow citizens.
Article XIII: Enforcement and Protection of Rights
  1. 1. The Supreme Court of Cherut shall have the authority to interpret and enforce the rights outlined in this Bill.
  2. 2. Citizens may petition the courts if they believe their rights have been violated.
  3. 3. No law, policy, or executive order shall infringe upon the rights guaranteed in this Bill.
Article XIV: Final Provisions
  1. 1. This Bill of Rights is an integral part of the Constitution of Cherut and holds supreme authority over all laws and policies.
  2. 2. Amendments to this Bill require a 2/3 majority in Parliament and the Royal Assent.
  3. 3. All public institutions shall ensure civic education on these rights as part of the national curriculum.
