Accra to Host Solidarity March for President Ibrahim Traoré on Africa Liberation Day

Rising, Freedom Fighters, and Truth Tellers!

We hope this message finds you in strength and purpose.

We invite your media platform, organization, or network to help amplify a defining moment for the global Black movement. On Africa Liberation Day—May 25th, 2025—the streets of Accra, Ghana, will become the heart of a historic Pan-African solidarity march. Spearheaded by the Economic Fighters League, in partnership with the Rastafari Council of Ghana, Jamaica Affairs Ghana, and more than 50 grassroots organizations, this march calls for unity and action across continents.

Standing with Burkina Faso and the Sahel

This powerful demonstration is a rallying cry in support of Burkina Faso, President Ibrahim Traoré, and the Alliance of Sahel States as they boldly reclaim their sovereignty and reject neocolonial control. But this is bigger than any one nation—it’s a call to every Black person, everywhere, to stand together.

A Shared Struggle: From Africa to the Diaspora

This year’s march is especially significant, coinciding with the anniversary of George Floyd’s murder—a stark reminder that the forces of white supremacy, exploitation, and violence connect the struggles of Black communities worldwide. From Ouagadougou to Minneapolis, from Accra to Port-au-Prince, our fight is one and the same: against imperialism, racism, economic injustice, and systemic oppression.

Why We March

  • To defend the right of Burkina Faso and all African nations to self-determination.

  • To expose and end the exploitation of Africa’s resources, which impacts Black lives everywhere.

  • To demand an end to Western interference and neocolonial agendas.

  • To build global solidarity and amplify the voices of Pan-African resistance.

  • To demonstrate that Black unity is our most powerful weapon against centuries of division and domination.

The Time Is Now

We are at a turning point. Our collective action, rooted in unity and purpose, can dismantle the systems that have divided and exploited us for generations. This is not just Africa’s struggle—it is a global Black struggle. What happens in Burkina Faso matters in Brooklyn. The fight for justice in Congo echoes in Colombia. Our destinies are intertwined.
